Give Thanks

Thursday, November 23, 2017

Tis' the season to be thankful for all the things, duh. I could take the time to list out all the usual things I'm thankful for (Daniel, Kensington, my parents, my job...etc.) But I've done that in about seventeen-thousand different ways on different list posts throughout the year, so I thought I'd take a minute to shout out to the lesser acknowledged, but still wonderful, things that need some thanks this year.

This year I'm thankful for...

+ The people who bring their dogs in to be adjusted by the chiropractor at work. You read that right. Our office adjusts people and their dogs is they so please. We have some of THE cutest four-legged patients and all of our moods are instantly boosted when there's a dog around.

+ The crockpot. Aka the magical thing that somehow transforms random ingredients into the worlds best meals.

+ My hydroflask. I don't know why, but I am 1000% more likely to stay hydrated if I'm drinking from something that's cute/functional and even though the hydroflask is a little pricier,  it was a good investment.

+ Starbucks employees who work anytime on or around the holidays. Those guys deserve a medal.

+ The people they hire to record audible books. I would NEVER want to hear my voice recorded on anything, let alone for 10 hours so someone can listen to it later on their way to work. But I'm happy other people are willing to do it.

+The Food Network. Because it always makes me hungry and always makes me believe that I might be a better chef than I probably am. When I watch it I say a lot of, "oh, I could do that".

+ Full belly baby giggles. This is a new thing that Kenz has been doing when we kiss her belly or tickle her lately and it is the worlds best sound.

+ Peppermint flavored coffee. The donut shop released this for the holidays and I think i'll probably need to buy all the boxes because it is SO good and I don't know what i'll do without it when they take it away.

Happy Turkey Day, friends! I hope your day is filled with all the food and family and friends.
