My Most Anticipated Baby Registry Items

Friday, March 03, 2017

I found out I was pregnant at just around five weeks. It was too early to announce to anyone other than close family and a couple of friends, but it wasn't too early to keep me from spending an insane amount of time creating the perfect Pinterest board of baby outfits, nursery inspiration, and baby registry must haves.

When it came time to create my own baby registry, I had this realization that I knew absolutely nothing about what I actually might need. Luckily for me, I'm surrounded by a support system of people who have successfully raised their own children (hi, mom and dad) and they were happy to help me put together what I think is a pretty great list.

I used babylist to create our registry so I could pull from all of my favorite sites. I grabbed items from Nordstrom, Target, Amazon and Babies R US. I tried to go with a combination of mostly necessities, sprinkled with a few luxuries, while still keeping to all things that I'm hoping will help to make this parenting adventure just the slightest bit smoother.

Here are some of the items on my baby registry that I'm most looking forward to receiving.

Baby Briefcase Document Organizer $29
All of baby girls most important documents in one convenient place.

Solly Baby Wrap $65
We bought an Ergo baby carrier for Daniel, but it's just too big for my small frame. Something like the Solly wrap would be much more ideal because the fabric really allows for some flexibility in baby carrying.

Infantino Pond Pals Play Mat $34
How cute are those frogs?

Boppy Nursing Pillow $30
Anything to make nursing a little more comfortable.

Up, Up & Away Changing Pad Cover $25
We still have yet to buy a changing pad, but you can bet I've already picked out the changing pad cover that I think would go perfectly with our nursery. I love this one from Aden & Anais.

Dr. Brown's Original Bottles 4 Pk $26
If there's one thing I've heard about newborns repeated over and over again, it's that they can be incredibly picky about their bottles so I'm registering for both the Dr. Brown's bottles, and these Comotomo Slow Flow bottles ($22) to see which she takes better to.

Bunny Love Gray Baby Blanket $49
The sweetest little bunnies to make our sweet girl as cozy as possible.

HoMedics Sound Machine $20
Living in an apartment has it's problems, one of them being the fact that there's very few times when it's completely quiet. Only made worse by the fact that we live on the first floor, I'm willing to try anything to give Kensington (and myself) a little peace. I'm hoping this sound machine will do the trick.

Owlet Baby Monitor $250
The most expensive thing on my registry, and possibly the one I'm most looking forward to owning. This tiny little sock doubles as a baby monitor and links up to an app on your phone. I truly don't think you can put a price tag on the safety of your child, and I feel like this would absolutely give me the reassurance I need to feel comfortable while she's asleep.

Obviously this list has more than five items on it, but I still wanted to link up for a Five on Friday post to get some input from you mama's and mama's to be out there. I hope you'll link up too!

Have you tried any of these items? Which would you skip, which would you buy again? What other items would you add?
