Thankful Thursday: Week One

Thursday, September 10, 2015

I know I should be thankful at all times of the year, and truly I am. But there's something about the beginning of the Autumn through to the end of the year that makes me reflect a little longer on the things that I am so grateful for in my life. I've decided that as a way of reflection I would use each Thursday, there's 12 by the way, leading up to Thanksgiving to share something with you all that I'm thankful for.

This Thursday I'm thankful for my supportive family. Recently Daniel and I have been trying to keep our heads on straight with getting everything all planned out for when he comes home. Although we've hit a few bumpy spots, my family has still shown us both unwavering support when it comes to getting our little life all figured out. We've decided to stay with them temporarily in order to give ourselves a chance to get on our feet. I'm sure a lot of you out there reading this would wonder why any married couple would want to move back in with their parents, and to that I'd say, you've never met mine. It's difficult for anyone just starting out to live in Los Angeles and I'm thankful that my parents are willing to handle a bulk of the costs in order for us to have the chance to get settled. I'm also thankful that I can be confident in the fact that I will always have a roof over my head, especially in a time when many people cannot say the same.

What are you thankful for this Thursday?

  1. 12 Thursdays to Thanksgiving. Whoa! Sounds so short when put like that. Today I'm thankful for a crisp Fall like morning.
