What does one very rough weekend and a long day ahead equal? A not so great blog post. But for now, it's all I've got in me. After a little blog stalking I saw this post in endless forms so here's my own little try.

Currently I am...

Watching…Boy Meets World re-runs on ABC family. Corey & Topanga forever.

Excited…That Daniel got final confirmation of his pass being approved for this weekends trip! Trying to plan a weekend around a military schedule can be so nerve wracking but we are a go.

Annoyed…that I spent an entire weekend with a cold topped with a big heaping spoonful of allergies.

Super excited about…My new Joy Mangano luggage and first ever HSN purchase.

Obsessed…with this bb tinted moisturizer. I just purchased it for the third time which is a solid two more times then I’ve purchased any other face makeup in a row.

Craving…so many sweets. I actually bought mini cookies from the Mrs. Fields kiosk in the mall today, what is bikini season?

Embracing…the heat. Sometimes I start to complain that our 90-degree weather is too hot, and then I see the weather report that it snowed again on the East Coast and it shuts my mouth right up.

Wondering…what the weather is going to be like in New Orleans this weekend. I’ve been checking consistently for the past 10 days month, and it changes every single day. How’s a girl supposed to plan any outfits?

Wishing…that our precious kitty will feel better soon. It was a weekend of bad vet news at our house, and were holding out and hoping for the best.

Five on Friday

Friday, March 27, 2015

This weekend, Sunday to be exact, marks Daniel and I’s second wedding anniversary. Unfortunately, this is also the second anniversary that we won’t be spending together. We’re making up for it next weekend, however, with our little New Orleans getaway. So, in honor of our anniversary I’m going to share 5 random facts about Daniel and I.

1) We met at a country bar, line dancing and all.

2) I did not like Daniel when we first met and even started a conversation with him once by saying, “I know exactly what kind of guy you are, and I want you to know that I’m not interested”… oops.

3) We go to Disneyland every chance we get. We both even had annual passes when he lived here, and we’ll probably get them again when he moves back.

4) Two Christmas’s ago I signed us up to go skydiving. I’m terrified of heights, and to this day I’m not quite sure how I managed to get out of that airplane from 15,000 feet up, I might have blacked out.

5) Elf is hands down our favorite Christmas movie in general. When the holiday’s roll around we are always cuddled up with some hot chocolate watching this movie. “Buddy the Elf, what’s your favorite color?”

As if I didn't feel lucky enough, Daniel also surprised me with this beautiful necklace that came in the mail yesterday.

And there you have it. My Five on Friday: anniversary edition. Happy anniversary to my wonderful husband, and happy Friday love bugs!

Pinspiration: Bedroom Edition

Eventually Daniel will come home which means eventually I will have a new apartment or house to decorate. In the meantime, a girl can dream and nothing makes me happier then the possibility of a little re-decorating. Factor in an unhealthy Pinterest obsession on my end and I’ve come up with plenty of ideas for our future home, starting with my most favorite room of all, the bedroom.

Weekend Recap

Monday, March 23, 2015

Monday morning we meet again, this time on much better circumstances because today it’s 8 in the morning and I’m still tucked away under my blankets with coffee in hand and the TV on. But am I sick? Nope! Today, my one and only Monday morning class has been canceled and that, my friends, is reason enough to celebrate. And by celebrate I mean eat anything I want and binge watch shows on Netflix so I can pretend my responsibilities don’t exist. Just kidding, kind of. Anyways, this weekend was relatively uneventful but still nice. I spent Friday night at dinner with the family, we had BBQ, which isn’t high on my list of favorite types of food, but it was still good.

Saturday I followed Chopper, our Chihuahua, around the backyard and we did a little exploring. Little did I know that my backyard was filled with the most beautiful and colorful flowers. Plus, Chopper is pretty cute too. Saturday afternoon my best friend in the world, Maia, got an acceptance letter to transfer to her dream school so Saturday night my sister Ryan and I put on our dancing shoes and took Maia out to celebrate. We went to Borderline, a small neighborhood country bar. We two-stepped, line danced, and overall out-awkwarded one another on the dance floor. It was great.

After rolling in from the bar around 2AM, my Sunday was relatively uneventful. Even Chopper knew it was going to be a lazy day, in fact he didn’t even bother getting up before 11 in the morning. Lately my allergies have been out of control so sleeping has been miserable, but I spent the day in my pj’s watching ABC Family’s Sunday funday filled with a few of my favorite Disney movies. No shame.

We ended our night with some beer can chicken, stuffed mushrooms, baked potato casserole and a baguette. Sometimes theres nothing better then my mama's cooking. Happy week lovelies!
